ViihdeHelper 4.4.2 published

A small update to the Chrome extension was published today. This version fixes a small race condition when downloading multiple recordings at the same time. The symptom of the error was duplicate file names.

The updated should be automatically applied, but you can verify in the extensions list that version 4.4.2 is listed.

Thank’s for the great tool, but v.4.4.2 still has a serious bug. More often than working correctly the Download Selected feature only download txt-files, but not the actual content files. Sometimes same problem occurs with individual download too.

As a feature request, downloading txt-files could be optional or even completely separate process.

The next version will have this configurable in the options. Will release it within a couple of days.

So the download of the actual files doesn’t even start? Which OS version and Chrome version are you running? Can’t seem to reproduce it on macOS with Chrome 58.

Windows 10, Version 1607, Chrome Version 59.0.3071.86 and yes, the download of the actual files doesn’t even start. Only txt-files download as they should.

I’ve tried to re-login to Elisa portal, restarting Chrome, but haven’t figured out the logic behind this behaviour yet. This doesn’t happen every time. Also the amout of selected files doesn’t seem to be the reason and “Ask where to save each file before downloading” option in Chrome doesn’t have any effect one way or another.
